The Institut Galilée, Université Sorbonne Paris Nord’s faculty of Sciences, is looking for English teachers for the second semester in first year (Licence 1).

The campus is located in Villetaneuse, 20-ish minutes away from Gare du Nord.

L1 classes take place on Wednesday mornings from 8.30 to 10.00 and 10.15 to 11.45 (teaching the same class to two groups). The classes start on Wednesday, January 29th and span over 12 weeks, the last class being on May 14th.

The students are taught in proficiency groups and there are about 20 per group. General guidelines are given for course content (themes and grammar points to cover).

The classes are paid in CM/TD, ie 51,76€ gross per hour.

Application requirements :
– Diplômes :
Etre titulaire d’un Bac + 4 en anglais si francophone ou d’un Bac + 4 dans toute discipline si anglophone
– Situation administrative :
Détenir un emploi principal (attestation requise) de plus de 300h annuelles d’enseignement (privé ou public) ou de plus de 900 heures annuelles pour tout autre emploi.

Ou être inscrit(e) en thèse pour l’année 2023-24.

Ou être auto-entrepreneur et pouvoir justifier soit d’un assujettissement à la contribution économique territoriale, soit de revenus réguliers garantissant ses moyens d’existence depuis au moins trois ans.

Ou être retraité et avoir moins de 67 ans.
